bringing people together to make the world more lgbt-friendly
The Fed is a not-for-profit community focused organisation working to unite lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities across the northeast of England. We work with individuals, groups and organisations to develop self-sustaining activities that aim to change attitudes and behaviours towards lgbt people.
The Fed:
- develops working partnerships across the region
- organises special interest groups and events
- undertakes research which aims to affect policy
- coordinates social activities and facilitates friendships
- provides safe spaces for people to meet
- publishes out! northeast magazine.
The Fed holds regular meetings for information sharing, support and socialising, all of which rely on volunteers' efforts. We're always looking for more people to get involved.
